The Long Road

Progression in Ultimate Dominion is designed to be slow and meaningful. Every level earned, every stat point placed, every milestone reached — it should feel earned, not given.

How Leveling Works

Experience points (XP) are earned primarily by defeating monsters. Each level requires progressively more experience — early levels come quickly, but the climb steepens as you advance.

Note

When you have enough XP, you must manually press the Level Up button on your character page. Leveling is not automatic — you choose when to advance.

Stat Growth

Each level grants stat points that you can allocate to STR, AGI, or INT:

Level Range Stat Points
1–10 +2 per level
Total (Level 10) 20 stat points
💡

Stat allocation strategy

Early stat points have the most impact — they unlock better equipment and shift the combat triangle. Consider focusing on your primary stat to reach key weapon/armor thresholds, then diversify later.

HP Growth

HP grows automatically with each level:

Level Range HP Per Level
1–10 +2 per level
Total (Level 10) 20 HP (base)

Combined with your base HP of 18 (modified by race), a max-level character will have 20 additional HP from leveling — meaningful but not overwhelming. Gear and consumables fill the gap.

Milestone Unlocks

Certain levels unlock new features:

Level Unlock
3 Adventurer Badge + Chat access — you can now communicate with other players
5 Power Source Bonus — Divine: +2 max HP, Weave: +1 INT, Physical: +1 extra stat point
10 Advanced Class selection + Class Ability — permanent specialization and a unique combat skill

Power Distribution

At max level, your total power comes from multiple sources. Understanding the balance helps you prioritize:

Source Approximate Power %
Base stats + race/armor ~15%
Leveling (stat points + HP) ~20%
Class bonuses + multipliers ~5%
Items (equipment) ~60%

Items are king

Equipment accounts for roughly 60% of a character's power. Never neglect your gear — check the item guide and the marketplace.

Lore

The cave teaches patience. Those who rush deeper before they are ready become food for the creatures that dwell there. Those who linger too long in the shallows never grow strong enough to face what waits below.
