Marks of Distinction
Badges are permanent marks of achievement bound to your character. They prove what you've done, unlock features, and — once earned — can never be taken away.
What Are Badges
Badges are soulbound tokens — permanently attached to your character. They cannot be traded, sold, or transferred. Each badge represents an accomplishment or status:
- Badges are earned automatically when you meet the requirements.
- Some badges unlock game features (like chat).
- All badges are visible on your character profile.
Current Badges
| Badge | Requirement | What It Unlocks |
|---|---|---|
| Adventurer | Reach Level 3 | Chat access |
| Founder | Reach Level 3 during the launch window | Prestige — proof you were here from the beginning |
| Zone Conqueror | Be among the first 10 players to reach max level in a zone | Prestige — marks you as a pioneer of that zone |
Chat Unlock
Chat is locked behind the Adventurer badge (Level 3). This serves two purposes:
- Anti-spam — creating a character takes time and effort. Requiring Level 3 prevents throwaway accounts from flooding chat.
- Community quality — by the time you can chat, you've invested in the game. You have context, opinions, and something to say beyond noise.
💡
Reach Level 3 quickly
Fight Cave Rats and Fungal Shamans near the spawn. Their combined XP (45 + 80 = 125 per pair) gets you to Level 3 in a handful of fights.
Future Badges
More badges are planned as the game expands. Potential categories include:
- Combat milestones — first PvP kill, total monsters slain, boss defeats.
- Exploration achievements — discovering new zones, collecting all fragments.
- Economy markers — first marketplace trade, total gold earned.
- Community badges — event participation, contest winners.
Badge requirements and rewards will be announced as they're added.

Lore
In the old world, marks of distinction were granted by the gods themselves — brands seared into flesh or woven into the soul. Now there are no gods to grant them. The badges come from the world itself, as if the cave is keeping score.
