Your First Steps

You wake in darkness with nothing but a name. Here's how to carve your path.

Sign In

Open ultimatedominion.com in any browser. No downloads, no installs. Click Sign In and choose your preferred method:

  • Google account (recommended) — one click, no setup required. An account is created for you automatically behind the scenes.
  • Existing crypto account — connect through the account selector if you already have one. A temporary session key is created so you don't need to approve every action.

Ultimate Dominion handles all the technical details. Your gold, items, and character are stored permanently and securely — you just play.

Create Your Character

After signing in, you'll walk through character creation in four steps:

  1. Choose a Race — Human, Elf, or Dwarf. Each gives different stat bonuses. See the Character Creation page for details.
  2. Choose a Power Source — Divine, Weave, or Physical. Each grants a real bonus at level 5 (see Character Creation).
  3. Roll Stats — Your Strength, Agility, and Intelligence are randomly distributed from a pool of 19 points (3–10 per stat). You get 3 re-rolls (4 total rolls) — choose wisely.
  4. Pick Starter Gear — Choose one weapon and one piece of armor from the available pool. Your stat requirements determine what you can equip.

Your stats matter

Stats determine which items you can equip, how hard you hit, how often you dodge, and which side of the combat triangle you're on. Choose wisely — or re-roll until fortune smiles.

Your First Fight

After entering the world, you'll spawn at the cave entrance. From here:

  1. Move using arrow keys or the on-screen directional buttons. Each move takes you one tile.
  2. Find a monster — creatures roam the cave tiles. When you step onto a tile with monsters, you'll see them listed in the tile details panel.
  3. Attack — select your weapon or a spell, then hit Attack. Combat is turn-based with a 30-second timer per turn.
  4. Win — defeating a monster earns you gold, experience, and possibly item drops.

Start close to the entrance

Monsters near the cave entrance (the northwest corner) are lower level. Venture deeper as you grow stronger. The Dark Cave map shows where different level ranges spawn.

Using Shops

Shops are scattered throughout the world. The first one you'll find is Tal's shop. Walk to the shop tile and interact to open the trading screen.

  • Buy — spend gold on weapons, armor, and consumables. Rarer items cost more.
  • Sell — trade your unwanted items for gold (at a lower price than buying).

Shops have limited stock that refreshes periodically. If what you need isn't in stock, check back later or try the player marketplace.

What's Next

Your immediate goals:

  • Level 3 — earn the Adventurer badge and unlock chat.
  • Level 10 — choose an advanced class and receive your class ability.
  • Explore deeper — the danger zone holds tougher monsters, better loot, and the threat of other players.
  • Collect Fragments — mysterious lore fragments are scattered throughout the world, triggered by your actions.
